Really nice artwork, John. Love the shape of that guy's melon.
Yikes. I suppose if a game of tetherball at school gets out of hand for junior then Frank B. of Bellmore can always swoop in and straighten things out. What a nice family.

The flaw of democracy is that it assumes that we are all completely out of the trees. It survives because there are enough who are. But then you hear about people like this. Thanks for the cold shower Jim. Nice provocative art BTW.

Great post that has it all: a bizarre story and super art. I really like the distortion in his face and the unexpected colors and of course the lettering.

Killer! I want more of this stuff, John.

John, I'm on my way over there right now to kick your ass.

John: you nailed this guy.
What were those hoods thinking?
I know, you're just doing your job as an outraged graphic artist: peeling up the thin veneer of civility that exists in suburbia and exposing it to the harsh light of public scorn and maybe even justice.

Thanks guys.... Dale, Thats the spirit! Don't take nothin from nobody!

These father's and misguided parents are insane. I see it all the time here in Brooklyn. Parents walking with their kids while on a cell phone swearing up a storm, rude to people in stores, angry in general.
The flip side is when it's your kid. I would never beat up a coach or ref but recently my son was bullied for the second time by the same kid. I not only wanted to come in and scare the kid to death, I wanted to scare his parents to death. I really did. IT takes a lot of maturity to think about the person you are raising and what your are showing them rather than acting on your personal anger or the horror of being 'dissed.'
Nice drawing.

Thanks Tim - Yeah it hurts to the core to see your kid mistreated or bullied... Especially when it is clearly unfair and non-provoked. Sometimes its just part of growing up though - and hopefully kids can learn from these experiences and become stronger as a result.

Hey, artist guy,
Why, I oughta pummel yer ass, you bleedin'-heart, peace-'n-love pinko...
John Dykes October 25, 2007
Mr. Saunders,
Thank-you for your thoughtful insight. Your business is important to us. We value your opinion.
Now for some tips:
Why Are Some People More Angry Than Others?
According to Jerry Deffenbacher, PhD, a psychologist who specializes in anger management, some people have a potato chip on their shoulder.
Unexpressed anger can create other problems. It can lead to pathological expressions of anger, such as passive-aggressive behavior (getting back at people indirectly, without telling them why, rather than confronting them head-on) or a personality that seems perpetually cynical and hostile.
Slowly repeat a calm word or phrase such as "relax," "take it easy."
Nonstrenuous, slow yoga-like exercises can relax your muscles and make you feel much calmer, unless your REALLY pissed off.
