Here is a scene I worked up from various photos I have taken, along with a few previous creations added in. I enjoy working in this style - which is ink on paper - applied with anything from pens to brushes, then assembled by way of machines.
I have a lot of photo reference I have taken over the years. Many times, I put off starting a new work - most of which is acrylic on board - because of time constraints. A more traditional technique such as painting with acrylic seems to require a bigger time commitment each time I prepare to paint. The process of starting with ink on paper is more spontaneous and direct. And the various stages of creation tends to be a liberating rather than stifling process. I have more of these started and look forward to releasing them from captivity soon.

Looks good Johnny! I feel exactly the same. Ditto. Somehow, all the pressure evaporates.
